Ladies Annual Report 2008
This year Forty five U-10 & U-12 girls took part in training sessions and played matches under the guidance of Patricia Melvin, Peter Mangan, and John Hegarty.
The Mayo U-12 league matches started in July. This team had a great attitude from the start and never gave up even when games appeared to be lost. The U-12's were unbeaten and qualified for the ‘A' semi-final in Crossmolina against Moy Davitts, On a wet evening we were out of luck and last by 2 points.
This was a great achievement for the U-12 squad and they had a very successful 2008 season.

The U-10 girls had a great season and took part in 3 county blitz and a challenge game against Claregalway, They won 8 of their 10 games for the season.
The following girls were part of the 2008 U-10 squad Stacy Mangan, Amy Traynor, Erris McAndrew, Jacinta Kelly, Aoife Hegarty, Isabelle Connor, Madeline Keane, Tara Ryan, Niamh Larkin, Caoimhe Cosgrove, Niamh Lynn, Samantha McDonnell, Clodagh Fox, Sharon Walshe, Sinead O'Donnell, Anna Clarke, Niamh Gill, Aishling Kelly, Caroline Harnan, Laura Mulhern, Irene Hegarty, Zoe Connor and Lisa Clarke.
The season finished with a trip to Claregalway to play a fixture against their U-10's & U-12's, 30 children made the trip. The Claregalway club were brilliant hosts and all who attended were well looked after. The U-10's & U-12's won their matches
All involved with the U-12s & U-10s wish to thank Dara Quinn of Quinns Chemist who presented a set of jerseys to the club and Tommy Dolan of Dolan Stainless for his continued support also. To all the girls who turned out for training and took part in the matches throughout the year, a special thank you.
