Lotto Results

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 6th October 2018. The numbers were 1 –11 – 15 - 22, no winner, three punters matched three numbers Sharon & Kieran Traynor, Martin & Olivia Donohue and Margaret Toner, and each win €50 each. The draw took place in O’Malleys Bar & Grill. This week’s jackpot is €12,350. Many thanks for your continued support.

Mindspace Outreach Service in Ballina FRC
Mindspace Mayo offers a support service to young people (15-25yrs) presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress, bullying) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety. Crossmolina were comprehensive defeated by a much stronger Castlebar Mitchels side in this league tie at Tiernans Park on Sunday week after leading by 2-8 to 1-3 a David O’Malley opening goal was as good as it got for the home side in the opening half Nigal Caden tacked on a 1-2 the goal coming in the 43rd minuet and Thomas McNulty a point to give the score board a more respectable look after a brace of goals from Diarmuid O’Malley and Shane Irwin to leave the final score 4-14 to 2-6 Crossmolina team and scorers

This North Mayo Minor B Championship Final at Kilfine saw the Combination of Ardmoy/McHales Ardagh/ Moygownagh/Laherdane emerge five point winner after a hard fought contest that saw Crossmolina start the better side after Shane Finnerty opened the scoring in the 4th minuet from play. After couple of gilt edged goal scoring chances were missed Tommy Loftus raced through the winners defence to plant the ball in the net in the 9th minuet.This was cancelled out four minutes later when Lorcan Finnerty raised a green flag for Ardmoy McHales Lorcan Loftus replied with a point Darragh Walsh scored the next two points the second one which was deflected over the bar by John Tolan preventing a certain goal Crossmolina pressed on with points from Edward Gough and two long range ones from Colm Hegarty. Ardmoy/McHales finished the half the stronger with two points from Shane Finnerty to leave the half time score 1-5 to 1-4 in favour of the winners who would have the assistance of a stiff breeze in the second half. Crossmolina and Balla played out an exciting draw 2-11 to 4-5 in the county U15 League at Tiernans Park on Sunday week. The hosts lead at the break 1-7 to 1-3 Diarmuid Walsh notching 1-3 Niall Coggins three points and Eoin Murphy one Sean Dempsey notched a few points and Aaron Dunleavy the goal in 25th minuet. McHale/Rovers suffered a four goal’s defeat at the hands of Visitors Knockmore to Tiernans Park in the Mayo ladys U16 Shield but in truth the final score does not give a fair reflection of the game over all Knockmore lead by one point at the break 5-6 to 4-8. Congratulation to Rachel Kearns Carrowkeel who has been nominated for a all Star award on the Ladys Gaelic Football Team for her performances with Mayo during the year. The 45 nominees were announced on Thursday last from around the four provinces and the final fifteen will be announced a t a gala function in the City West Hotel in Dublin on Saturday 1st December

Cairde Mhaigheo Club Delveopment Draw 2018

Draws 5 & 6 of the Club Development Draw for 2018 were hosted by Kiltane GAA over the weekend.
Congratulations to Clare & Patrick Hopkins from Crossmolina who won €5,000 in Draw 5 and to Chris Myles and Paddy Joe Sweeney who both won €200.
