This year a total of forty two U-12 girls took part in thirty training sessions and played fifteen matches under the guidance of Tommy Dolan, Ann Larkin and John Hegarty.
The North Mayo league matches were played on Wednesday evenings.
The following were the scores for the League. Crossmolina 3-6; Kiltane 0-5. Crossmolina 8-9; Bonniconlon 1-0. Knockmore 4-5; Crossmolina 0-3. St Brigit's 2-8; Crossmolina 1-3, Kilmore 2-7; Crossmolina 3-2.
By finishing fourth in the league the team qualified for the County âB' championship quarter final against Swinford. Crossmolina battled to the end but lost on a score line of Swinford 4-4 ;Crossmolina 1-5. Chloe Munnelly was the team captain for this match.
A team exclusively from Crossmolina took part in the community games U-12 girls competition and came very close to making the county final losing out to Knockmore in the semi final by 1 point, 3-5 to 3-4. Some of the girls attended Catherine Larkin's birthday that afternoon and perhaps had one too many slices of birthday cake and drank too many cokes.
