This year a total of fifty one U-10 & U-12 girls took part in thirty training sessions and played thirty one matches under the guidance of Ann Larkin, Patricia Melvin, Peter Mangan, Mickey O'Donnell and John Hegarty.
The Mayo league matches started in May and were played on Wednesday evenings.
The following were the scores for the League. Crossmolina 1-5; Hollymount 0-4. Louisberg 0-6; Crossmolina 2-10. Crossmolina 1-4; Moy Davits 4-4. Charlestown 2-4; Crossmolina 2-14. Knockmore 2-7; Crossmolina 1-7. Crossmolina Vs St Anne's, walkover due to St. Anne's unable to field.
The Girls finished second in the league and had home venue for the semi final. On a wet and blustery evening in St Tiernans park a ding dong battle ended with Hollymount scoring a goal to prevent Crossmolina contesting a county final against Moy Davitts. Hollymount won the final by 10 points.
County âB' Semi Final U-12 Crossmolina 0-5; Hollymount 1-5.
A team exclusively from Crossmolina took part in the community games U-12 girls competition and came very close to making the county final losing out to Knockmore in the semi final.
An end of season U-12 Blitz was hosted by Crossmolina on Sunday the 4th of Sept. Five teams took part, Swinford, St.Brigits, Moy Davitts, Knockmore and Crossmolina. Many thanks to all who helped out on the day including Sinead & Olivia Heffernan who made Tea for the adults and dished out the drinks to the girls before dashing off to Castlebar for the senior drawn game against Westport. Thanks also to Brian Benson and Michael Hegarty who traveled in a car trailer holding onto a set of goalposts from St. Marys Park to the pitch.
The U-12 team played 2 challenge matches, Knockmore 1-6; Crossmolina 1-5, Crossmolina 2-10; Enniscrone 4-3.

An U-10 blitz was hosted by Knockmore on Saturday the 6th of June. It was contested by over two hundred players. Crossmolina fielded two teams, The âA' team played Louisberg, Castlebar, Hollymount and St Brigit's and won all their matches. The âB' team was very unlucky to loose by one point in each of their matches played against Westport, Moy Davits & Charlestown.
Then it was on to Claremorris on the 16th of July. The girls played Swinford, St. Mary's, Knockmore and Westport and again won all their matches.
The Blitz in Westport was on the 13th of Aug. The girls played Westport, Swinford and Kiltimagh losing only one game by a point to Kiltimagh.
The Swinford Blitz was held on the 11th of Sept, The girls played Swinford, Charlestown, Breaffy and Knockmore again losing only one game to Swinford

We will start training indoors in March on Wednesday evenings 6.00 - 7.00 for U-10 and U-12. All girls aged eight years and older are welcome to take part. Membership & insurance for 2005 is â¬25 and â¬2 for each bus trip.
