This county League tie played at sunny Tiernans Park on Sunday was always close and entertaining played at Championship intensity with end to end stuff right from the off with both sides playing a defensive game with a lot of bodies behind the ball as is the norm at present, Conor Loftus grabbed two points in the second and eight minutes, from a free and play. Joe Geraghty pulled one back in the 8th minute from play, Paul Duffys 14th minute point from play, Padraic OâConnor pointed two frees in the 14 and 18th minutes to tie the score. Peadar Gardiner extended his sides lead to three points in the 25rd minute a Cillian OâConnor free from 35 meter came back off the post and sub Alan Plunkett punished slack marking with a goal to level the score both sides had chances in the final minutes but the best chance fell to Sean Kelly who escaped his marker but pulled the ball just inches wide.

Crossmolina and Cill Chomain served up a exciting County U16 D League Semi-final in Glenamoy on Sunday morning of last week. The visitors had the assistance of the breeze in the opening half but did not convert the many chances they created and the hosts lead at break 0 â 6 to 0 -4 Keelan Hegarty with two points and one each from Edward Gough and Robert Murphy were Crossmonlinaâs scorers with Jason Murray on target with two points and a goal from Kevin Ruddy put the Cill Chomain boys in to seven points lead going into the last quarter.
