Just as the score suggests this was a cracker of a League tie in sunny Tom Langan Park on Sunday last with the scorers  level on a numbers of occasions both sides had their spells of dominance with Fergal Forde, Michael Forde and Shane Healy very much to the fore for Ballycastle on the score board. While J.P.Mulhern, Gerard Haran, Niall Timoney, Tommy Walsh, Dean Loftus and Tommy Walsh again, struck over a string of points for Crossmolina. Goals from Fergal Forde, a penalty, and Shane Healy saw the home side lead 2 – 8 to 0 – 11 at the break.
This was wiped out inside the opening five minutes after the break with Tommy Walsh and Gerard Haran grabbing goals. Fergal Forde tied the score again in the 14^th minute with his second goal of the afternoon, he ended up with personal tally of 2 – 7. The last quarter was score for score with the sea siders just keeping their advantage to run out winners by two points in a game Crossmolina deserved to at least take a share of the spoils in a fast open game.

At the Crossmolina GAA Club executive meeting on Tuesday 10^th May Congratulations were extended to Conor Loftus, Fionnan Duffy players Joe Keane Selector David Walsh Masseur with Mayo All-Ireland champions  U21team on their wonderful achievement in winning the fifth title in this grade,  to Crossmolina National School on winning the Cumann Na mbunscol Mini Sevens  in Castlebar to their coaches Michael Murphy, Brendan McAndrew Jess Gough and school teachers, also commiseration to Rachel Kearns who played a stormer but ended up on the loosing Mayo Senior Lady’s team defeated by a goal by Cork in Parnell Park

The new Astro turf facility is being used by a few of the Club teams on a trial basis before its official opening. Full details of official opening will be advertised soon.

Active Age Over 55’s
Walking and aerobics for both men and women has resumed on Tuesday’s at 12 noon after the Christmas break in the Crossmolina GAA centre. New members welcome

McHale/Rover Ladys Football
McHale Rovers Ladies Football (which is amalgamation of Ardagh Crossmolina Lahardane Ladies) have starting training for the U8 and U10s Girls  on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm on the Astroturf.
