After an opening spell in which Hollymount/Carramore dominated this County U21 Championship game in Hollymount on Bank HolidayMonday with Conor Heneghan bagged a goal and 1 â€“ 4 Jordan Flynn and Hugh Cafferty replied with points for Crossmolina a Stephen Coen Goal after 20minuets put further day light between the sides late in the half Fionan Duffy pointed two frees to leave the half time score 2 â€“ 8 to 0 â€“ 4 and it looked as if the visitors were in for drubbing. What ever was said in the dressing room at the break certainly worked as Crossmolian took the game Hollymount/Carramore with early points from Jordan Flynn Fionan Duffy and a Tommy Walsh goal in reply to a couple of points from the south mayo boys Kieran Haran made a couple great saves to keep his side in the contest and this inspired his colleagues who kept plugging away Jordan Flynn pointed from long range and when Dean Loftus waltzed his way past a couple of defenders grab a goal to leave just four points separating the sides entering the closing minuets Conor Heneghan and Fionan Duffy exchanged points to leave the final score 3 â€“ 12 to 2 â€“ 10 after a entertaining contest on this fine autumn afternoon

Astro Turf News;
The Astro turf is open for business and several groups are using it on a weekly basis. The Kevin Loftus Over 30s league started two weeks ago and has involved approximately 80 men from the local area. Mothers & Others are using it on Thursday evenings and the National Schools boys and Girls Cumann na Mbunscoil teams train on it each week. Add to this the senior football team and the new facility is getting great use. Any group interested in booking the facility should contact Michael at 0872046722.
