Bord Na Nog The AGM was well attended on Sunday evening last and plans are in place for 2017. An information evening is planned for all parents and a new coaching the coaches programme is being put in place. P.J.Loftus 2016 Crossmolina Deelrovers Hall of Fame Award winner P.J. played all grades of football for the Deelrovers club, winning 3 North Mayo and 2 county Junior Championship Medals, 1 County Senior Championship Medal in 1968 with North Mayo, and 3 County Masters titles.
P.J. played 71 times for Mayo between 1961 and 1971, winning 1 National League Medal in 1970, 1Connacht Junior,and 2 Connacht Senior Medals in 1967, 1969, he Captained Mayo in the 1968 Championship. P.J. represented Connacht on many occasions winning Railway cupmedals in 1967 and 1969.
Other medals garnered over a stellar career included Gael Linn medals, Grounds Tournament 1967 and Wembley Tournament in 1968 and 1970. He played against Australia 1967 in Croke Park where he gave an exhibition of high fielding as he did in Wembley on the 2 occasions he played there.
