Lotto Results
There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 25th of May 2019. The numbers were 2, 14, 20, 33, no punter matched three numbers, so six tickets drawn, Kay Loftus, Paddy Jordan, Fiona Kearns, Bernie Lynn, Ml & Kay O’Malley, Tom & Teresa McNulty, and win €25 each. The draw took place in The Thatch Bar. This week’s jackpot is €5,700. Many thanks for your continued support.
The next draw is on 1st June in Cawleys of Rakestreet;

Crossmolina National school qualified for the County Final in the 11 A side section with a very hard earned 5 -11 to 3-10 win over Ballyvary in a gripping contest at McHale Park on Thursday last. It was scorer for score in the opening half with Crossmolina scoring two goals from Kobe McDonald and James O’Boyle which was the plat form for a 2-6 to 0-8 interval lead. The Deel-Siders defence came under severe pressure in the opening 20 minutes and can thank Goalkeeper Patrick O’Malley for five wonderful saves and stout defending from his colleagues which kept the Ballyvary boys at bay. Oisin Deane quickly found the net after the break but back came Ballavary with three stunning goals to go into a three points lead Oisin Deane tied the score and Dylan Flynn drove home his sides fifth goal Kobe McDonald Oisin Deane and Dylan Flynn tacked on points to secure a place in the final against Kilmeena in early June

Crossmolina were well beaten in the end of this Division 2 league tie in Balla on Sunday week after leading at the break by two points 1-7 to 0-8. Balla were in complete control in the final thirty minutes and were deserving winners

Crossmolina captured the County Division 3 league title with a comfortable win over Naomh Padraig at James Stephens Park Ballina played in ideal condition
Crossmolina got off to a lightning start in the opening four minutes with a point from Diarmuid Walsh and goal from Niall Coggins. Irla Quinn replied with a brace of points which Diarmuid Walsh answered with one for the Deel-Siders. Finn McDeremot- Cox Fionnán Caulfield drove over points each before Niall Coggins supplied the pass for Diarmuid Walsh drill the ball past a helpless Sean McAndrew in the 13th minute Diarmuid Murtagh tacked on a point four minutes later Luke Rowland found Niall Coggins with perfect pass and centre half forwards drove to the net. Niamh Padraig came more into game in the remaining ten minutes Finn McDermot-Cox struck a cracking goal Crossmolina James Williams and Diarmuid Walsh kept the score board ticking over with points each. Fionnán Caulfield added a point. In goal mount scramble T.J.Murphy finished to the net before the break to leave just four points separating the sides 3-6 to 2-5. A fortuitous goal from Eoin Murphy’s 45m free which went all the way to the net this inspired the Deel-Siders on and with midfields of Niall Maughan and Jonathan Murtagh controlling their sector and the defence snuffed any danger that Naomh Padraig threatened and limited then to just one point from Jordan Clarke in the final thirty minutes where as Crossmolinas forwards scored a further 1-4 from Diarmuid Walsh three points Niall Coggins and a goal from Jonathan Murtagh in the 21st minute. Crossmolina gained two precious League points in this County Division two game at Tiernans Park. After an error ridden opening half in which both sides we guilty of poor shooting Crossmolina scored the opening four points from Fionan Duffy three the first after six minutes and one from Keith Hopkins in the 10th minute before Ballinrobe opened their account in the 15th minute from Stephen Burke Fionan Duffy and Evan O’Brien exchanges points in the 21st minute Evan O’Brien struck over two points one from a free in the 26th minute and another two minutes later Tommy Walsh had the last score of the half on the stroke of time a point to leave the score 0 -6 to 0-4 in favour of the hosts. Cathal Carolan extended the lead with a point which Evan O’Brien cancelled out immediately two further points from Fionan Duffy in the 37 and 38 minutes kept the home supporters happy. Ross Philbin pointed minutes later and Fionan Duffy replied again with a point from play out on the left wing. Cathal Carolan drove over two points from open play and Evan O’Brien reduced the lead back to four points with two similar scores for Ballinrobe Fionan Duffy pointed a free and John. Enda Flannelly closed the scoring with a point. After well contested game of many mistakes with both sides wearing similar colours it was difficult at times distinguish between the players a specially in the glaring sunshine

At the Executive meeting of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers G A A Club on Tuesday night 9th April.
