Hosts St Muredachs playing in Sean Duffy Park raced into a three points lead thanks to Sam Murphy Kristin McNiece and Daniel Touhy before Crossmolina opened their scoring with a point from Diarmuid Walsh in the 19thminute, Niall Coggins tacked on another, a minute later Shane Tolan and Sam Murphy again raised white flags for St Muredachs. Just before the break Diarmuid Walsh reduced the lead with a point 0 – 5 to 0 – 3.
Crossmolina stormed back and were level after 40 minutes with two points from Diarmuid Walsh. Daniel Touhy pointed a free and Joanthan Murtagh tied the score with neat point. The games changing score came in the 16th minute when Diarmuid Walsh was tripped in the square and Jonathan Murtagh drove the resulting penalty to the net off the goalkeeper finger tips.
Daniel Touhy and Harry Regan reduced the lead with points each and Luke Rowland pointed from play, Killain Fergus pointed after the now customary water break. As the game entered the last five minutes Jason Crean powered his way past a few defenders to tie the score with a shot to the corner of the net past a helpless John Tolan. Two late points from Diarmuid Walsh secured the win for Crossmolina

Crossmolina carved out a comfortable 6 – 13 to 3 – 8 win over Ardnaree in North Mayo U12 Championship in Sean Duffy Park on Thursday last Dylan Flynn Luke Maloney James O’Boyle and Kobe McDonald were the goal scorers in the opening half Ardnaree’s score getters were Ben Doherty Nathan Roddy Matthew Quinn and Cian Connelly the latter three each scored goals in the third quarter to reduce the lead to ten points 6 – 7 to 3 – 6 That was as good as it got for the hosts and string of Points from Kobe McDonald Adam Mills Billy Loftus Joey Kean and Dylan Flynn kept the challengers at bay Ben Doherty and Nathan Quinn tacked on points each before the final whistle

Crossmolina gained a hard-earned win in the opening round of the Egan’s Jewellers Mayo Intermediate Championship at a very wet evening in Ballyhaunis. The hosts opened the scoring with an Eamon Phillips point which Conor Loftus and Keith Hopkins cancelled out after six minutes. Jason Coyne pointed and Fionan Duffy struck over two frees, Jason Coyne pointed a free before Brian Benson gave the Deel-Siders a 0 – 5 to 0 – 3 lead at the break.
Joe Sutten and Fionan Duffy swapped points before Kevin Gallagher and Adrien Phillips from a 45 tied the score. Sean Kelly and Jason Coyne exchanged points and then Brian Benson and Jason Coyne had the sides level before those two late points from Brian Benson secured a precious away win in this very competitive group.

Both sides played their best football when they played into town end goal and against the light breeze in St Tiernans Park in this second round Michael Walsh Intermediate league.
In a game that there was no real urgency Crossmolina put three scores on the board from Fionan Duffy before Stephen Coen opened his sides account in the tenth minute. Denis Kelly and Darren Coen followed with points each.
Crossmolina dominated the second quarter with a string of points from Cathal Carolan, Fionan Duffy, Brian Benson, two, Conor Loftus and Fionan Duffy again. The south Mayo side scores came from Patrick Ferrick strode up from wing back kick a point from play and Darren Coen pointed a free to leave the half time score 0 – 9 to 0 -5 in favour of the Deel-siders.
Hollymount/ Carramore were a Different side after the break they wiped out their four points deficit to take two points lead with points from Darren Coen, Conor Heneghan, two each, Kevin Ferrick and Stephen Coen one each. Brian Benson pulled one back but Enda Maloney restored his sides advantage with a point. Dean Loftus and Darren Coen swapped points. Fionan Duffy and Darren Coen did likewise, sub J.P. Mulhern closed the scoring with a long-range point to leave the visitors deserving winner in the end

Crossmolina overcame a stiff challenge in this second round north Mayo Junior B league tie away to Knockmore on Sunday week. In a closely contested first half Crossmolina lead by a point, with points from Tommy Loftus, two, and one each from Robert Murphy, Conor Caden and Michael Gallagher. Knockmore’s scorers were Thomas Burke and Mick Lowther both from 45’s.
Crossmolina can thank David O’Boyles brilliant penalty save from Thomas Burke just before the break. The visitors dominated third quarter scoring 1 – 4 without reply Conor Rowland, Conor Caden points each and Lorcan Loftus goal and two points from Gerard Haran.
Knockmore tagged on six points in the last quarter two from Cian Brogan and four from Thomas Burke in between Derek Hegarty grabbed two points and Shane McKinley one to secure the win. Crossmolina defence were well tested in the last quarter and they all played a significant part in securing the points

Crossmolina minors came out on top with a hard earned on point win over neighbours Ardmoy/McHales at Tiernans Park on Friday week 4 – 14 to 6 – 7 The hosts got off to the perfect start with a Diarmuid Coggins goal Michael Gill quickly pointed Diarmuid Walsh tacked on 1 – 3 and Luke Rowland also pointed Jack McHale Cathal Finnerty grabbed goals Oisin Carolan Jack McHale and Barry Gaughan pointed to leave it 2 – 5 to 2 -4 at the break. With the scores coming thick and fast Luke Rowland Diarmuid Walsh Jonathan Murtagh Niall Coggins Cillian Fergus all contributed to the score board for the hosts Ardmoy/McHales John McDonnell Jack McHale grabbed goals to edge their side in front entering the last five minutes Diarmuid Walsh tied the score and Luke Rowland late free secured a deserved win on a damp evening

We wish all our members and supporters well during this unnerving time. Our facilities are closed in line with Government and GAA guidelines. We will update you in line with best advice. Feel free to contact any of the Club officers if you feel we can be of any help. We are liaising with local businesses to help with deliveries and would ask everyone to keep a close eye on those in our community that may need assistance at this time

As all festivals and events are cancelled for the foreseeable future, the Crossmolina Festival group are putting their idle time to good use and are now available for deliveries to those people in the Parish that are staying at home during the virus pandemic. If you would like any shopping, prescriptions etc delivered to your home, simply contact any of the local retailers, butchers or pharmacies, place your order, request delivery and the retailers will organise for members of the festival group to deliver your order that evening with urgent orders delivered during the day. The festival would like to thank all those that have volunteered, now is the time to stay at home as much as possible and when normality returns, Crossmolina festival will be ready to host the events we will all need to celebrate.
