Crossmolina U14 team suffered a one point defeat away to Westport on Thursday last having lead at the break by 2 - 3 to 0 - 4 thanks to goals from Patrick Howley and Jordan Flynn. Westport came storming back and had tied the score after 12 minuets of play Crossmolina rallied again with points from Darragh Gill Sean Caden Thomas Walsh and Jordan Flynn to go three points up again with time running out Westport pulled a point back from a free by Alan Kennedy then a great save from T.J.McFadden denied the west mayo boys a goal their was little he could do when they attacked again first Colm Moran grabbed a goal and minuets later sub Killian Kilkelly extended the lead to four points. Then Gary Hopkins with time almost up rattled the net from a 13m free to leave the final score 2 - 11 to 3 - 7 ;
