Crossmolina were defeated in the county U14 Division 4 semi final on Tuesday last in Ballintubber community pitch after a bright start with a point Niall Maughan and striking the wood work on a couple of ocasions, the home side struck back with two goals from Jamsie Finnerty. it was all square after 12 minuets when Niall Maughan cracked home a goal and Sean Canavan added another from a penalty. Jamie Finnerty added a couple of points before Eoin McDonnell pulled a goal back for the visitors. Noel Geraghy and Matthew Fox kept the score board ticking over with further goals which Crossmolina's Keelan Hegarty pulled a goal back Niall Maughan Ronan Lavelle Sean Canavan and Patrick Howley added points to leave the half time score 4 - 5 to 4 - 4. Niall Maughan tied the score just after the break Lorcan Loftus goaled and Niall Maughan added two points to give his side a five points advantage. Which were cancelled out in a matter of four minutes midway through the half with goals from Matthew Fox, Jamie Finnerty, and Ciaran Gavin. Sean Canavan replied late in the game with a goal to make the score board more respectable on the evening Ballintubber were the better balanced team
