Their was no winner of the Crossmolina GAA club Lotto jackpot on Saturday night the 12th April. The numbers were 6 – 8 – 11 – 24, five punters matched three numbers Jim Timoney Fotish, Pat Flanagan Mullingar, David and Ann Fox Knockleggan Crossmolina, Jonathan O’Boyle Carrowcloughy Crossmolina, Dr Declan Clinton Ballycastle each won €30.

The young McHale rovers girls undertook the long journey to the east mayo village of Aghamore on Wednesday evening last to play round 2 of the U14 div 2 league. Aghamore can be a difficult venue to find at the best of times with many possible routes. There was no referee available for this fixture and recently qualified underage referee Avril Benson had to step in, It was a very unfair task to fulfill but Avril acquitted herself well and will make a fine referee. McHale rovers got off to the best of starts with the first two scores, a goal from Lisa Lavelle and a point from the hard working midfielder and captain Johanna O’Malley, little did we know that it was to be the last score until the end of the second half when Rosin Cronin smashed home a second major. The non-availability of a neutral referee was disappointing for both teams. Castlebar are the visitors to St Tiernans park on wed k.o 6.30pm
