McHale Rovers 2-05 Hollymount 3-07
The many spectators who attended on wed evening last were treated to a very entertaining match played in sweltering conditions on the manicured pasture of St Tiernans Park. McHale Rovers had 13 players for the first half and were joined by Lily Hegarty at half time. Hollymount had a larger squad and could afford to interchange frequently as their players tired in the heat of the summers evening, there was no such facility for the home team. Played over 4 qtrs the McHale rovers were in front after the 3rd qtr but were pipped at the post so to speak by 2 late goals for Hollymount.
Captain Emily Murray led by example and was ably assisted by Eilish Keane, Niamh Maughen, Caoimhe Walshe, Ciara Naughton, Louise Davidson, Annie Gough, Ava Mcloughlin, Leah Timlin, Niamh Reape, Ellie Murphy, Aoife Deane, Lily Hegarty and Meadbh Walshe, Match Report; John Hegarty.
