Both sides had a number of scoring chances before Shane Timlin fired home his sides goal after 6 minuets Gerard Haran pointed from a free in the 10^th minuet and soon after wards Shane McKinley pointed from play The visitors missed some great chances of adding to the score board and Eoin McLoughlina made a great save from Hugh Cafferty after this Chris Walsh and Kevin Newell tacked on points on the 27^th minuet Kevin Newell shot to the net and Gerard Haran pointed a free to leave the half time score 2 – 3 to 0 – 3 Gerard Haran pointed from 40m free and in the 8^th minuet Jordan Flynn latched on to flick on pass from Joe Keane drive an un stoppable shot past a helplass Eoin McLoughlin. Eoin McCormack kept his side three points in front with a pointed free With Brendan Birrane winning a fair share of ball at midfield Crossmolina were playing with great heart and by the 22^nd minuet were within a point of the home side after Joe Keane and Gerard Haran pointed. This was when Ardnaree’s experience came to fore with the interdiction of Ian Clarke and Ryan Knox kicked on and added five unanswered points one from Kevin Newell and four from Eoin McCormack Crossmolina had claim’s of a goal from free by Gerard Haran  in the last with the umpires expecting a point they were both standing well back and could not see the ball was taken from behind the line by the defender . The u8’s had their first challenge match away from home when they traveled to Ardnaree GAA pitch on Wednesday the 18^th of June. It was an exciting time for all as we had 30 enthusiastic young boys rearing to go. We were able to put out four great teams against Ardnaree,  all players participated in  30 minutes of play. All teams displayed great skill and a vision of what we are to expect in the future. A great evening was had by all with plenty of support from families and friends.

U14 Girls GAA
Upcoming games in Crossmolina, Wed 25^th Vs San Francisco at 7pm. The San Francisco team manager Mark Burke has Crossmolina connections and is a big fan of the Deel Rovers. He is bringing his 54 strong travelling group to his home place as part of the build up for the u14 feile in Ballyhaunis. Support for the local team greatly appreciated.
