Senior Game

The south Mayo side carved out a comfortable five points win over Croaamolina in Hollymount in the County Division 1 League tie on Sunday morning after an opening seven scoreless minutes Chris Myles opened the scoring for the visitors with a point. Hollymount/Carramore grabbed a vital goal in the 13 minute from Stephen Coen, beating the advancing Sean Kelly to a wind assisted long ball from midfield to open his sides account. Fionan Duffy and Conor Keane traded points before Clifford Connelly kicked a point. Crossmolina’s Conor Loftus and Brain Benson flashed over two points in the space of a minute in the 23^rd minute, almost immediately a flowing movement saw the home sides Ian Costello drill a low shot past a helpless Sean Kelly. Ian Costello tacked on a point in the 25^th minute and Fionan Duffy scored a point for the visitors just before the break to leave the half time score 2 – 3 to 0 – 5.
Just after the break Kevin Costello pointed from open play, Brian Benson replied with similar score after 35 minutes. Conor Keane and Kevin Costello added points in the 45^th and 48^th minutes.  A Fionan Duffy point from a 13m free just before the final whistle closed the scoring after a dour low scoring game in which home sides ability to score goals was the decisive factor.

Work continuing on Astro turf playing facility;
Work is nearing completion on the Astro Turf project. The contractors have laid the synthetic grass and the infill, the fencing is now complete. Work remaining is electrical and snagging by the main contractor. Please obey all construction signs and safety notices during the construction phase.  Crossmolina Deelrovers Committee will be working on the parking and fencing of all aspects of the development.

Men on the Move
