Crossmolina Deel Rovers GAA have just completed a small history project for the Club. One of the posters includes all the Deel Rovers who played for Mayo at senior level, in the Connacht Championships, All Ireland Championship, National Football Leagues and the FBD league. 

Eamon Moore in The Thatch has sponsored the posters, and he will be putting up the Mayo players one in the bar. 

As a thank you we are having a unveiling on Saturday 26th November at 9pm. 

Most of the lads will be there on the night and it should prove to be a great evening.

If you get a chance visit the sports hall at St Tiernans Park where the full history project can be viewed.

Sean and Helen Keane Carrowcloughy Won the top prize of €10,000 in the Mayo GAA Club Development draw which took place in Cill Chomain GAA Club on Saturday week. P. Erris St Pats were deserving winners of the U17 County Plate Final in Cill Chomain on Friday week. After early spell od dominance in which Crossmolina wasted a number of very good scoring chances whereas when Erris St Pats got a foot hold they took their chances they lead at the break by 2 – 8 to 0 – 6. A goal just after the resumption killed any chance of a recovery and recover the Deel-Siders did with three Goals from Jack Naughton Kyle Gallagher and Shane Lynn it was little too late and the Erris boys were in command for most of the game but had lost their composer in the last quarter and this  lead to edgy finish

Homeland U15A Championship Group 1 2022

(Round: Semi Final 1), Crossmolina Deel Rovers 1-9 Westport St Patrick’s 2-5

Crossmolina advanced to the County U15 Championship final with a hard one-point win over their great rivals Westport at Tiernans Park on Tuesday last. Those two teams have played each other so many times over the past couple years and the opening minutes were played with a lot of caution before  Ethan Reilly opened the scoring with a point  the Deel-Siders and Peter McGowan drove up the half back line to tie the score minutes later. Elcmar O’Toole pointed which Oisin Deane cancelled it out. Killian Conway who was proving a real hand full tacked on a point. In the 18^th minute Killian Conway struck a real poacher’s goal when he disposed Georgie Gordetskyy as advanced to clear his lines, he booted the loose the ball into the net. Crossmolina went on the attack from the kick out and Joey Keane finished to the net after a great team score. Crossmolina gained in confidence Josh Moyles and Kobe McDonald each added points to leave the half time score 1 – 5 to 1 – 3 After the break Kobe McDonald pointed a 45 Elcmar O’Toole had the sides level in the 9^th minute with a well taken goal. Killian Conway and Oisin Deane swopped points as the scores dried up Joey Keane and Killian Conway exchanged points with twenty minutes played and Joey Keane pointed a 20m free in the 24^th minute to give Crossmolina the lead. Westport like true champions tried to get back on level terms but Crossmolina were well up to the task and defended as if their lives depended on getting a place in this week final against Castlebar Mitchels’
